Happy birthday to me!

My God. 31 years and still going. What were the odds? As today is my birthday, and I have to go back to work next week after a very enjoyable holiday, I thought I would pull my finger out and get this blog cranking.

I am hoping over the next couple of months that i can really get the ball rolling with my writing. i have a couple of projects on the boil at the moment and so long as work doesn't impede me too much I am hoping that these can see fruition early this year. The plan is, if all goes well, to quit my day job! OH MY GOD. I cannot believe I am planning this. I cannot believe Kirsty (Oh darling wife of mine) is even entertaining the thought of letting me. In fact, she is happy for me to quit work now, but I have less faith in myself. I need to make sure I have the discipline and energy to do this in my spare time before I go leaping into it full time.

Anyway, I have to go find cake...
